Burtonsville units were dispatched to a report of house fire in the 700 block of Anderson Street late this evening with a report of an elderly victim trapped. Units arrived on the scene of large one story detached dwelling with heavy fire conditions on the first floor in Quadrant “A” and “B”. Units soon found that there were heavy fire conditions in the basement. Despite the heavy fire conditions, the members of Truck 15 made an aggressive push into the building in an attempt to locate the trapped occupant. An attack was initiated on the first floor and in the basement from the Charlie side, however soon had to be abandoned due to an extreme fire load in that area, Subsequently, the floors began to burn through and after some time the interior operation was abandoned. The primary search was completed with negative results. One member of Truck 15 was transported to MedStar with burns to the ears and neck.
