![]() Second Alarm - Garden Apartment Fire
October 20, 2005 Around 4:30 PM Truck 15 was dispatched as the second due truck on the Box Alarm for the building fire at 14153 Larchdale Road. The first arriving engine company found heavy smoke and fire showing from two floors. A second alarm was immediately requested. An aggressive interior operation ensued on both floors and the fire was quickly knocked down. Units opened up quickly and the attached exposure was covered by units on the second alarm. The fire was confined to the areas involved upon arrival and the fire was prevented from extending to the occupied exposure building. Primary and secondary searches were completed with negative results. Box alarm units and the special services from the second alarm were on the scene for quite some time. Rescue Squad 15 covered the Laurel area on a transfer to Fire Station 10 during the incident.
