To Our Community…

We understand the concern around COVID-19, and our top priority is the safety of our community, patients, staff, and volunteer members. As we continue to coordinate closely with local, state, and federal health agencies, please know that our career and volunteer staff are highly trained in responding to new and emerging diseases, utilizing infection prevention protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

To promote social distancing to contain the spread of COVID-19, we have established policies and guidelines. These measures are significant in protecting the health of our entire community. At this time, we have closed our administrative and recruitment office, but our staff will be accessible remotely via email and cellphone (if applicable). If you need assistance, please reach out to our team directly at:

Office Administration:  suzanne.miles@bvfd.com

Recruitment:  walter.campbell@bvfd.com

Our firefighters and EMTs are still at the station 24-hours a day to serve you. Unfortunately, at this time, station tours, and regular access to the fire station and personnel are prohibited. Other provisions include:

  • Direct patient contact will be limited to the minimal number of staff needed to handle the medical emergency.
  • Updated exposure protocols to ensure personnel receives the best care possible as soon as possible if needed.
  • We are conducting training and business meetings utilizing online meeting applications, such as Skype or Zoom.

We know our community members wish to show their appreciation and support during these difficult times, and many have asked how to help. Although we appreciate your donations of meals, snacks, cards, etc., we are unable to accept donations or visits at this time. Instead, we ask that you support the firefighters and EMTs by staying home to reduce the curve. For those who may wish to do something more tangible in support of the BVFD team, donations may be made through Paypal or by mail to:
